These are awesome!!

I always struggle with doing people in watercolor, like they're either super blobby and indistinct or super blocky and stiff, but you always get such a good balance of soft-but-distinct, I'm impressed! I also love the backgrounds/scenery here!!

I've had the exact same problem before with everything looking like blobs!! I tend to make my characters too small on the paper and then I can't get any definition. So lately, I've been trying to either get larger paper or have the faces/people take up more of the paper than the background. However, both of these were background heavy (I actually love backgrounds and landscapes) so I wasn't afraid to use some mixed media here. You can see where I went back and added a few lines with a pen to mouths/noses. I still had a lot of trouble with the street scene though. Juuzo's face was about the size of the tip of my finger :(

Oh gosh good tips! It totally worked out well for you this time. One of my If I Had Infinite Disposable Cash dreams is a neverending supply of gigantic canvas and paper and loads of paint, haha!
