I just like to be in a relaxing environment: warm lights - I have a small lamp at home that I like to sit by, I enjoy playing video games or reading during this time, sometimes I watch a movie or a cooking show like the Great British Bakeoff.  My feelgood fandom is Yuri On Ice!!!  It's positive message and ice skating theme really lift my mood whenever I watch an episode.  My favorite episode to watch is 10 when Victor and Yuuri have a fun day in Barcelona and get engaged at the end <3  As far as fanfiction goes, I love reading Hankcon and Symbrock fanfic to relax :D

I still haven't seen Yuri On Ice but every time I hear someone mention it, it sounds adorable so one of these days I'll have to track it down. The Great British Bakeoff is lovely even though I know I couldn't bake a single one of those items.

I'm a long time figure skating fan, so I watched yoi as it aired and it's become my favorite skating movies/shows ever! I know a lot of people who had no idea about skating before they saw it and they love it now, so I definitely recommend. And hehe I can't bake anything on gbbo either xD but it's nice to watch

My mother always maintained that Christmas wasn't officially over until the Feast of the Epiphany because there are twelve days of Christmas. (My mother wasn't remotely religious so I think this was just a rationalization for not getting all the Christmas cards in the mail before Christmas, etc, but it's a rationalization I like so I'm keeping it a "family tradition".)

Ahh the engagement scene!! Yuri on Ice is just,,, such positive vibes all through. There's just something about watching Yuuri fight and really improve and not just become a better skater, but become able to see himself better (bc let's be honest. Yuuri was never a bad skater. It was his own anxiety and self-doubt that constantly got the best of him.) Watching Yuuri learn to love himself rly makes me want to do the same ;o;

Also the Great British Bake Off is just... so calming. Everyone's so positive? They may all be in a competition, but they're just so supportive of each other. I know nothing about baking, but that's the kind of social environment I wanna be a part of haha

Go for it. I use a lot of colorful description in my writing. Folks are always free to use it for more inspiration.

If you want an example, that's the core imagery in one of my Tolkien fanfic poems, "There And Back Again."

Oh I was just talking about in general, I actually kind of used a similar effect in my recent watercolor with the lighter sky shining through the dark clouds. But it is nice and your writing sounds lovely <3
