It’s a portrait of Lan Wanji, one that Wei Wuxian had drawn himself from their days as juniors. Lan Zhan is young and beautiful . . . and angry. He’s so different from his older self, but Wei Wuxian also knows this Lan Zhan as well. His fingers tighten on the page. There’s a few spots on the page where the ink is smeared, especially around his signature at the bottom. He wonders if Lan Zhan had left it out in the rain one day.

Or Wangxian are newly living at Cloud Recesses after returning from their travels, and Wei Wuxian finally learns to mourn the years that he missed with Lan Wanji and Shizui.
